EMPTY PROPERTY It’s always a shame when businesses close, but this shop has seen better days and residents are concerned about falling slates and dilapidations. I’ve written to officers at the Council #BankHall @BurnleyLabour @burnleycouncil

FLY TIPPING This is one of several ‘well parcelled up’ fly tips I’ve seen recently, all near to the Household Waste Recycling Centre, which is only allowing in one type of waste. Not a coincidence. Reported for clearing #BankHall #BrunValley @burnleycouncil @BurnleyLabour

CAR PARK POTHOLES I’ve asked officers to look into repairing the large pothole in Pit Top Car Park (Thompson’s Park), and also unblocking the bunged-up storm drain! #BankHall #PitTop @BurnleyLabour

Empty Homes I’ve written to the Empty Homes Team at the Council to see if they can look to work with the owner to bring this property back to use. Currently it’s a blight on the street when it should be a great little home #BankHall @BurnleyLabour

Overgrown shrubs Not only do they block the paths, but they also harbour blown litter and make streets look untidy. I’ve asked Streetscene to see if they can be cut back and the litter removed to improve this street #BankHall @BurnleyLabour

Great news that @BurnleyMarkets open for business. This morning @afrasiab_anwar, @IshtiaqMohammed and @mtfromburnley held a meeting with stall holders to see how things had been going for them through the lockdown and their concerns about the future.
