Litter, graffiti and anti social behaviour are major issues in the area. Mark has repeatedly contacted Street Scene about this. It is time that the Lib Dem Council took action on these issues that are blighting the lives of Gannow residents.

Lib Dems fail to deliver on housing

The Labour Government have provided money for housing improvements through Elevate, yet the Lib Dem controlled administration of Burnley Council have been dragging their feet when spending it—so much so that £500,000 designated for Burnley that was unspent last year, money which could have made a real difference in Gannow.

Lib Dems have failed to clean up untidy back alleys

Litter in back alleys brings our neighbourhood down. The Council has repeatedly failed to take simple action to clean up our streets.

The Lib Dems promised that they would stop fly tipping, but instead they increased the charge for disposing of bulky waste! Yet another broken Lib Dem promise.

The Council have left broken fencing unrepaired

Mark Townsend is concerned for the safety of children in this area near Gannow roundabout. This area of land should be fenced off, but there is a large gap in the fencing that the Council have failed to compel the land owner to repair.
